Sometimes life takes us on a little journey. We have plans to do one thing. As we go through our day, we notice other things that lead to more things related to that first thing but a little different. You know what I mean?
Lol. I’ll explain.
I planned a post on relationships and thought of all the funny and cute things to share with you. The first mistake was when I picked up my phone and looked at Instagram. The second mistake was when I started scrolling stories.

How do you stop? When you see a quote like this by Charles Bukowski.
We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that death will tremble to take us.
It’s the last part that got me. “…live our lives so well that death will tremble to take us.”
The story ended with, “What are we here for?”
My heart did a Chaka Khan high note.
Ummmmmmmmmmmm? Take a moment. I sure needed one.
Firstly, living so well that death will tremble to take us, is deep.
The question of our very existence is deep. I feel obliged to answer it, but at the same time not so much.
A cup of honey-sweet tea, a session with Deepak and a healing sound bath is what I’ll need to get to that one.
Instead, I am leaving you with a few more quotes by this madman that will make you see life differently.
“ Find what you love and let it kill you.”
Make this your life mantra. Pursue your passion. It doesn’t matter how weird, quirky or crazy it may be, make it your life’s work. Let it take over with zero regrets.
What else are you here for?
“Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must live.”
Embrace the unconventional. That dream you have of living in a shack at the ocean and walking around in your grey nakedness is obtainable.
Follow the sun. Cook dinner at midnight. Laugh and dance to the intoxication of life.
“The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.”
Be so stupid, that you either don’t know what could go wrong or don’t care. And do that thing that you keep thinking of doing. What’s the worst that could happen, right? Wait….let me sip my tea.
No, just kidding. Be stupid. Be stupidly confident and do it.
“You have to die a few times before you can really live.”
It's a hard truth to accept, but challenging situations can present opportunities for us to grow personally. Sometimes you’re minding your own business on a beautiful walk. You’re humming, and happy, and life feels so good. “Yeah yeah, shoo be doo….”
Eh.
Suddenly.
And out of the blue.
Your nose is taken hostage. It stops you in your tracks.
That wet pile of poop seeps up your nose so fast you can’t stop it. What. Just. Happened?
A stinky poo poo left there just for you!
After your nose has died a hundred times over, how much do you appreciate the smell of fresh, clean air after that?
It’s the same with trauma. A trigger leaves you with a grenade strapped to your back. HEALING takes months or years. I don’t believe there’s a time frame.
I believe that once you’ve let it work through and out of your body, life is fuller. Emotions are deeper. Laughter is lighter. Spirit is softer.
Honestly, I’m at that point in life where my bones and core are tired of being polite.
Let the bastards who hurt you, abused you or discarded you, burn to the ground. Let their ashes be discarded by the wind, crushed by the ocean and burnt by the sun.
You are here to be brave. You are here to fight back. You are here to protect. You are here to disrupt. You are here to be crazy. You are here to change. You are here to say f#ck this shit. You are here to take that shit and fling it right back from where it came. Because, that shit, was never yours, to begin with.
Friends and loved ones, I am rooting for you to:
Bloom wildly. Bloom fiercely. Bloom abundantly.
And so it is.
With love and grace
